Chickens in the Roses

Jane and I went to Mom and Dad's today for our usual Friday visit.  I cleaned the house, made ham sandwiches for lunch (Mom ate all of her sandwich and grapes, Dad was still working on his when I left), while Jane played and amused Grandpa.

At one point while I was washing dishes, I noticed several chickens walking across the front yard.  Mom said that they were Jeannie's and they frequently come over and are digging holes in the roses.  She didn't care that they were digging in the roses because they never stay very long.  Jane went outside to look at them close, which scared about half of them away, but the others were very intent on making holes in the roses.

Mom had several cards on the dining room table from friends and family for her birthday.  There were also daisies from Kaylene and her family.  Dad gave her some new earrings.

Thanks everyone for all that you do!
