Family Birthdays

Deborah went with me to play cards with Mom and Dad tonight.  When we got there, Mom was asleep in her chair, but she woke up just after we came.  I gave her a birthday present (I know it is two days early).  It is a binder with all of the kids, grandkids, and great-grandkids pictures, birthdays, addresses and other contact information, along with a calendar with all the dates on it.  I think she liked it, but I am not sure (self-doubt is a weakness I need to overcome)!

We played cards, Dad and Deborah won, as usual.  (Though I do need to tell you that Dad cheats, but he will never admit it.)
Dad seemed a bit more sensitive today.  He said a couple of things wrong, and then when corrected, sarcastically apologized for making a mistake.  I am not sure if he is tired or what, but it was a little out of character for him.

Mom seemed okay.  I know that her leg is hurting her.  She said she has been sleeping on the chair in the living room because that is more comfortable than the bed.  She will start out in the bedroom and then later move into the chair.

I took down some spaghetti for them.  They had already had dinner though, so I put in the fridge so they can heat it up tomorrow.
