I will try to catch up as well as my memory will allow. I have may calendar next to me and I will try to fill in the days of summer!
The first couple of weeks of July were the usual - I went out on Saturday (or Friday if I had to work on Saturday) to clean house and then on Sunday to play cards or visit. I am going out more by myself on Sundays, the other kids are getting busy and can't always go with. If I go alone, we can't play cards because you need an even number of people to play hand and foot.
July 16th was Draper Town Days and the week before Bill and Morgan's wedding. I had a lot that I wanted to get done that day. The week before there was a large group who went and cleaned up and trimmed the yard in preparation for the big day. Thanks to Bill and Morgan, the Hicks family and everyone else who helped. On the 16th, Becky and Tony stopped by while I was there. Tony helped to get Dad's truck moved out of the driveway so it would be easier for guests to get to the back yard for the wedding and reception. He had to jump start the truck because the battery was dead.
(I talked to Dad yesterday about moving the truck back under the carport after Carli's wedding this coming Saturday. They want to leave it where it is, so I am going to take out some plastic to cover the window that doesn't work so that it can survive the winter.)
Bill and Morgan's wedding was wonderful! It was in there backyard and it didn't rain or anything. Thanks for letting us use your yard Mom and Dad! Here is a picture:

The first week of August was very exciting for everyone! It was the Petty Family Reunion. We have a reunion every three years. We started the year of Mom and Dad's 50th wedding anniversary. This is the third reunion, and the first to be held in Draper.
There were lots of people and activities happening through the week. On the first day, we visited with family as the came into town and ordered pizza for dinner.
Day 2 we went to Thanksgiving Point to the Dinosaur Museum and the Discovery Garden. Then we went back to Draper for Dutch Oven dinner. Mom and Dad went to the museum, then headed home for the afternoon.
Day three we all headed to Kennecott Copper Mine in the morning, then to Antelope Island and swimming in the Great Salt Lake in the afternoon. Then gathered in Draper for the traditional hot dog roast! Mom and Dad stayed home during the day, and joined us for dinner.
Day Four was an everyone-do-your-own-thing day. Mom and Dad stayed home. The group that I went with went shopping, to Discovery Gateway Children's Museum, to Applebee's, then to a play at the Conference Center.
Day Five was at Grandma and Grandpa's house all day. We had water play for the kids and visiting for the grownups. Then there was a bbq and pictures in the evening.
On Day Six, most everyone went home. However, a few hung at in Draper with Mom and Dad for a final visit.
Here is a picture of Mom and Dad with their five kids, and a picture of the entire group that was the reunion on Friday night.
And Mom and Dad!
Well, that gets us through to the point where I am only now one month behind.
The next Saturday, August 12th was another wedding for another grandchild. This time it was Joshua. They got married in the Jordan River Temple. Lisa and I met Mom and Dad there so that we could help them as needed. I am very happy that they were feeling up to going to the ceremony!
The next three weeks there is really no excuse for not posting. I did miss cleaning house one week because I had to work on Friday and Saturday. I have gone out every Sunday to visit or play cards. I always take one or two of the grandkids with me when I clean, it helps to keep Grandpa occupied while I am working (then he doesn't worry so much about what I am doing).
Yesterday Mom told me that Becky and Tony took them out to dinner on Saturday night and then brought them some lunch on their way out of town on Sunday. Thanks Becky!
Thanks to everyone for the help and the great family reunion!

Wow, this is a fabulous post, I just love it! Thanks for all you do, I know you are so busy, I really appreciate it! I love you and my other sibs more than you will ever know! I am so happy that mom and dad were able to go the wedding at the temple, I am sure they loved being there! Now for Carli's wedding coming up! Wahoo!
